4 Way Test Speech Contest

Presented By

Please join us at this Thursday Rotary luncheon for our annual 4-Way Test Speech Contest at The Transept (1205 Elm St, 45202)!
Four students from two local high schools (DePaul Cristo Rey High School and Norwood High School) will be competing, and an esteemed panel of judges will select the winner. The winner then goes on to represent our Club at the district-wide Rotary speech contest at Wright State University in April, competing against students from more than 30 high schools in southwest Ohio!
Students choose any topic they are passionate about for their speeches, and weave in Rotary’s 4-way test- the ethical standard used by Rotarians worldwide.
Rotarians on the 4-way Test Speech Committee chaired by Ed Mathis and Laure Quinlivan have been coaching students at their schools.  The students who won in-school contests get to invite their parents and two faculty members to cheer them on at the big event Thursday.
It is so inspiring to hear talented young people articulate and apply Rotary’s core ethical principles. Please join us this Thursday and bring a guest!

Judges are: Iris Simpson Bush, Executive Director of Flying Pig Marathon; Councilmember Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney; Monique John, Channel 9 Reporter; Kyle Inskeep, Local 12 Anchor
