John Fox has been reporting on and writing about life in Cincinnati since the early 1990s. He co-founded Cincinnati CityBeat in 1994, serving as Editor and Co-Publisher of the free weekly newspaper until 2012. He joined 3CDC to program and open Washington Park, immersing himself in Over-the-Rhine’s culture of change, which he then covered extensively as Managing Editor of Soapbox Media in 2014–2016. As Editor-in-Chief at Cincinnati Magazine, he oversees all editorial operations and digital efforts.
