Hands-On-Service: Emma’s Art Cart Kit Assembly for Children’s Hospital

August 14, 2018 5:30 PM at Hyde Perk (3664-B Edwards Road (45208) – Emma’s Art Cart Kit Assembly for Children’s Hospital. After being diagnosed with a brain tumor at a young age, Emma Stumpf went through 70 weeks of chemotherapy, 8 weeks of radiation and over a dozen brain surgeries. During that time she turned to art to help express her feelings. She used yellow paint when she was happy, blue when she was sad, and clay when she felt angry.  That experience inspired Emma to start this project when she was seven years old. Today we can help Emma achieve her dream of giving art supplies to every kid who’s going through a hard time and needs to express themselves. The Women In Rotary Committee is organizing this project for all members of the club that is to take place on August 14, 2018, at 5:30 PM for a hands on service happy hour. The plan is to assemble kits and include handwritten notes of encouragement in the assembled kits. The kits will then be delivered to Children’s Hospital.  To volunteer, please contact Project Captain, Dawn Yunker at [email protected] or 513.325.2565.
