The Changing Middle East: Impact on the USA and the West – Prof. Eytan Gilboa, Middle East Scholar and Commentator
Recent years have shown the old Middle Eastern order has all but collapsed in the face of political revolutions, disintegration of traditional governments, violent civil wars, the emergence of the Islamic State and the Iranian nuclear threat. Traditional ideological, religious, geographic and political lines have been blurred, with some states descending into chaos and others emerging into previously unthinkable alliances based on mutual interests and common foes. These new rivalries and rapprochements provide ample challenges for the Unites States and other Western countries which will need to re-evaluate their foreign policy in the region. Professor Gilboa will explore these challenges in their historic context, and what role the United States and allies may play in the new Middle East.
The Cincinnati Enquirer recently interviewed Professor Gilboa. Click HERE to read the article.
